The Tactics

KNOW YOURSELF, KNOW YOUR ENEMY. Before starting a ground or space battle, either Exe or Parisa will ask you for your Ground or Space EMS Forces. At that time, you must also declare a Tactic; these are:

Cautious, Aggressive, Defensive, or Risky.

Picking the right tactic against your enemy will reward or punish you. This is where you must know your enemy based on their EMS forces and past experiences.

A cautious tactic will have a disadvantage against aggressive, defensive, and risky tactics, resulting in no bonus in each round, proving only useful against other cautious tactics. You may feel tempted to fight your enemy using an aggressive tactic, but it will prove advantageous only against a cautious or risky enemy. However, let’s say you are sticking to a defensive tactic; it will work best against a cautious enemy, and it will undoubtedly give you a bonus if you know your enemy prefers an aggressive approach (which will not always be the case).

Last but not least, a risky tactic will prove worthy against a cautious enemy but most effective against a defensive one.

You may wonder: What does it mean to have an advantage? It is pretty straightforward; whenever you are ready to roll, you will get an advantage from +1 to +2. And the opposite is true, too; choosing the wrong tactic strategy can result in no bonus.

Now, unless you have earned Strategic Points (SP), there is no way you can guess what your enemy will choose until you fight them.
