Zyrokk originally founded the Cult of Exar Kun with the ambition of furthering Exar Kun’s legacy, but Zyrokk’s true intentions were more self-centered; he sought everlasting life and unlimited power. He recruited powerful lieutenants like Darth Boudast and Darth Yol’gorn to help train a new generation of elite Sith followers. Zyrokk’s apprentice, Pegarus, also joined and eventually became the Grand Lord of the Cult. Zyrokk later vanished to pursue immortality, leaving the cult to be led by Evanoth. Evanoth aimed to use the cult as a militant fighting force to destroy the Jedi and safeguard the Sith. Tensions grew between Evanoth and Overseer Rai’keg, who feared Evanoth would doom the cult. In desperation, Rai’keg took an amulet containing a fragmented spirit of Darth Nihilus. Nihilus possessed Rai’keg, then Tenebriar Nelfarion, seeing a chance to recreate his old Triumvirate and make Pegarus his second. Pegarus embraced Nihilus’s dark Void powers. Evanoth and Rai’keg challenged this, leading to battles over control of the cult. Eventually, Nihilus was transferred into a new host body. Later, Evanoth became obsessed with seeking artifacts from the Rakatan Infinite Empire. He wanted to unleash an ancient evil Void named Azathoth the Destroyer. This obsession threatened the cult, compelling Pegarus to defeat Evanoth and take over leadership to protect the order. Under her reign, the Cult became a formidable group of elite Sith.
